La Posada del Pez is a restaurant that is characterized by its
simplicity and the richness of the ingredients of its dishes, as well as the
great variety of products from the land or the sea, such as vegetables and fish
of all kinds, which it produces. It is located in Tenerife, Canary Island and
it is specialized in Canarian and author cuisine, made with local and seasonal
products.

Q: How do you
understand quality and which actions do you carry out to deliver it accurately?
A: For us quality is about a good experience. We
care a lot about our clients and we strive to improve their experience at the
restaurant. About the actions, we treat our customers closely and we ask for
constant feedback; we want them to feel fully satisfied so we have internal
forms with their likes, allergies, preferences…
Q: What is the
principal advantage that the restaurant receives from putting effort on quality
management and customer service?
A: Nowadays, La Posada del Pez has a database of 1000
active clients. This is a very important achievement because we are a small
restaurant – with a capacity of 30 guests – and we have built it in only 3
years. We consider it an advantage because we know people listen to us, what
impacts directly on our power of congregation.
Q: Do you have
implemented any mechanism of quality management, which goals does it help to
achieve?
A: Yes, we have a wide range of integrated and
systematized processes. I would like to highlight our process of qualification
of suppliers which helps us to correct failures and improve the final product
that the client will receive.
Q: Do you use frequent mechanisms of communication to
obtain feedback from clients about the product and the service that the
restaurant offers? Which ones?
A: Yes, weekly we inform our clients about events
and suggestions but at the same time we ask about their recent experience at
the restaurant. It is very helpful to identify customer service mistakes and
resolve them in situ.
